B-tech distance education eligibility factor is very flexible, unlike the regular B.Tech. Though the criteria might differ a bit from one institution to another, the basic eligibility criteria are that the applicants must have passed 10+2 from a science background with Physics Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. There is no such entrance exam that is conducted to enrol in B.Tech distance education programs. The B.Tech distance education program is for 4 years but some Universities allow a maximum of 8 years to complete.

Because of the flexibility in age to apply to this program, the students who couldn’t join their graduation just after their schooling or the students who couldn’t complete their studies in time can also apply, no matter what their age is.
